How to retrieve files deleted from my computer that have already been emptied from trash bin?

I am using windows xp please tell me there is a way to obtain these deleted files in some way shape or form.

Don’t do anything with the hard drive like changing/saving other files!! I do know that deleting a file only opens that space up as available to be overwritten. A saved file is like a painting on a wall. Deleting it just says that the wall is free to paint over, but the painting is still there until something replaces it. Norton Goback cna retrieve my files, but I don’t think it will work if it’s installed after deleting the file. I don’t know what program to use, but you CAN get those files back! I will try to google something to use and add to this answer.
ok, seraching for “recover deleted files” shot back a lot of programs. I saw one at pctools.com, so I’d get that one, as they’re usually pretty good. Good luck!

There is this freeware/shareware called “restoration”. Download this from the internet and see if you can get your files back.
