Please make sure your video is compatilbe with iPod, otherwise you can’t upload it to your iPod even thought it’s mp4 video. You can visit Apple official website for more information about iPod compatible video.

Maybe the video resolution or video bitrate beyond iPod limitation. For more tips about iPod, you may refer to this iPod FAQ.

Yes, friend, your videos are already mp4 files, but as I know, iPod nano just supports some special mp4 videos, because mp4 is a media container format, it can be encoded with many different codecs, and the best video format for iPod nano is MP4(avc/h.264 video encoder, aac audio encoder) video file, so I think, you just need a right converter to convert your mp4 to the right iPod nano mp4. I am using RZ Video Converter which can convert any videos or audios between different formats with good quality, such as convert your mp4 videos to the iPod nano mp4 videos, then you can transfer the converted mp4 to itunes, and sync it iPod nano. Try it by yourself. Yahoo or google search and download rz video converter. Hope it can help you.

    1. mp4 is a media container format, some special mp4 can be accepted by ipod.
    2. Sometimes, you may not have the right video apect ratio, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, etc for the right iPod. Try a converter to convert your videos to see if it works:
