About How Many Songs Could You Fit Into A 1GB MP4 Player?

I’m planning to get one but I don’t know how many songs it could fit in. And the MP4 Player I wanna get is only $20.

say your songs are 7mb each
1000/7 = around 142

It depends a little bit on the length of the song, but mostly in the bitrate. This is important because the bitrate multiplied by the time will equal roughly the size of the song file.

A 1 gig mp3 has roughly 950 megabytes of usable memory that isn’t filled up with software used to run the device. On average, most songs are about 4 megabytes.

950/4 means you can expect to get somewhere in the ballpark of 200-250 songs on the player. Obviously this will vary depending on the size of the song files.
